The Ropes of Life
30 secs.
You can do anything for 30 secs, they say....
.
.
.
.
BUT have you done ropes for 30 secs? Longest ever.

.
.
These ropes are my nemesis. I hate them. Yet, I know I need them. The fitness ropes offer many benefits, but I still hate them. Guess what? I do them anyway.
My personal trainer sent me this picture from last week. I looked at it, and then looked at it some more. I saw more than what was there. Yes, naturally I could pick it apart with negatives. But I choose the opposite. I see growth. I see struggle. I see real. I see determination. I see grit and grace both.
This was me coming back after two weeks off for medical reasons. Life gives us roadblocks some days or even some weeks. But ultimately it's up to us not only how we handle that road block, but the comeback too.
If God wants us still, listen. But when it's time to go back to work. Go.
Put in the work, and give it your all. Not for anyone else, but for yourself. You deserve time to grow. You deserve time to heal. You deserve grace for days you are not feeling 100%. Find the grit that is there, dig deep in those heels, wave your arms as fast as you can, and never give up on what you are working towards.
It is funny how one single photo of me doing something I HATE, can give such a lesson as the ropes of life.
